A delegation of Bay Area youth organizers I closely work with are gearing up to attend the Allied Media Conference in Detroit from June 27th - July 2nd 2012.

The Allied Media Conference seeks to bring together youth and adults from all over the country to share out advancements in media-based solutions and strategies to deal with community challenges. The theme for the conference is one we all believe in: Create, Connect, Transform.

We have adopted a quote by Grace Lee Boggs, Detroit activist/author/philosopher, to help give a collective voice to why attending this conference is so important to us:

“We have the opportunity to take a great leap forward in these very challenging times. We need to change our institutions and ourselves. We need to seize opportunities. We need to launch our imaginations beyond the thinking of the past. We need to discern who we are and expand on our humanness and sacredness. That’s how we change the world, which happens because WE will be the change.”

Will you help Bay Area youth take a great leap forward by supporting our campaign?

As a thank you for supporting 4 youth and 1 adult Bay Area delegates attending the 2012 Allied Media Conference, for every $25 donated, supporters will receive a ticket entry to our Multi-Media Makeover Package Giveaway.

This package was inspired by amazing young professionals in the Bay Area using their media skills to support Youth Expression, Youth Development, and Community Building.
